7th Annual “House that Rock Built” Rocked it!
Eatontown, NJ: On Wednesday, October 19, the WRAT 95.9 and Habitat for Humanity Monmouth hosted the 7th Annual “House that Rock Built” Build Event at Monmouth Mall to fundraise and construct frames for a new affordable single-family home to be built in Middletown, NJ.
During the all-day event, which was broadcast live on The WRAT 95.9, volunteers, WRAT Radio DJs, and Habitat construction crew, worked together to build the frames to be used at Habitat’s 61st house to be built this year on Ideal Ave in Middletown, NJ.
We could not hold events like these without the support of generous sponsors who sent teams of volunteers, as well as supporting our programs financially. Thank you for your community spirit and for caring about affordable housing in Monmouth County!
The WRAT 95.9’s morning show host, Carl Craft kicked off the opening ceremony alongside Michael Normand of Beasley Media Group, and Habitat Board of Trustees President, Kim Stulb. We were also joined by Middletown Mayor, Tony Perry, and Eatontown Mayor, Anthony Talerico, and Habitat homeowner, Samantha Nolan. The Catholic Daughters of the Americas were in attendance too.
A special thank you to Woodhaven Lumber for once again donating ALL the lumber required for the framing. And to EZ Docks Marine Construction for transporting the frames after they had been built.
