Monmouth County Habitat for Humanity is a 501(c)(3) organization and an affiliate of a global nonprofit, Habitat for Humanity International, serving all of Monmouth County in New Jersey.

Families and individuals in need of safe, decent, and affordable housing partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home.

Through financial support, volunteering, or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability, and self-reliance they need to build better lives.

ReStore – Shop/Furniture Donations

The ReStores raise funds by selling new and gently used furniture, household items and DIY construction materials. Donate or shop to support our housing programs.

Build Programs

Habitat builds homes, wheelchair ramps and helps with minor yard cleanups for low-to-moderate income families. For more information about qualifying for one of these programs, please click here for more information on our services.

Since 1989, Monmouth County Habitat has built 82 homes and assisted hundreds of families with repairs. We are currently working on our 83rd house in Wall.

ReStore Pounds diverted

Since 2015, the Freehold ReStore has diverted more than 7 million pounds of unwanted materials from landfills.

Volunteer hours

In fiscal year 2023/23, volunteers logged in more than 12,717 volunteer hours in the Freehold ReStore and on our build sites.

Habitat Monmouth has completed 82 ABWK projects since 2015, helping low-income homeowners maintain the exterior of their homes through a preservation program offering painting, landscaping, and minor repair services to eligible homeowners so they can continue to live in safe, decent homes for years to come.

Ramps & Rails

Since the program began in 2018, Habitat Monmouth has built 52 wheelchair ramps, helping individuals with mobility challenges to safely remain in their homes.

Since launching our L.I.F.T / Veterans Build Home Repairs Program in April of 2023 in collaboration with Coastal Habitat, we have completed 12 projects for veterans families.

On July 1, 2024, Coastal Habitat for Humanity and Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County, two strong affiliates of Habitat for Humanity International, merged to form Monmouth County Habitat for Humanity. This strategic collaboration brought together staff, volunteers, programs, and resources to serve all 53 municipalities of Monmouth County more effectively and efficiently.
