Thirty-seven years ago, a small group of volunteers came together with a simple but powerful belief: Everyone deserves a decent place to call home. Since then, that belief has helped Monmouth County families build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.

Earlier this year, Lindsay and her twins celebrated moving into their new home in Fair Haven. Last year, Joe, Erica and their children received the keys to their home in Wall Township.

For these families, home means so much more than four walls and a roof. It means children having bedrooms to call their own, a safe place to play and do their homework, and somewhere they can proudly invite their friends.

Now, another family is preparing for that same life-changing moment. Shalean, a nurse and mother of four, has been selected for our newest Habitat home in Wall Township. Soon her children will have a stable, forever home where they can grow, learn, and build a brighter future.

We are excited to break ground in Brielle, Eatontown and Wall soon, creating new opportunities for more families to achieve the stability that affordable homeownership provides.

With hardworking Monmouth County neighbors waiting for their chance, your support is needed now more than ever. Every dollar you give stays right here in Monmouth County, helping local families build brighter futures.

But building homes is only part of our mission. We also help older adults, veterans and neighbors with disabilities remain safely in their homes through our Aging in Place and LIFT (Local Initiative for Troops) repair programs, providing wheelchair ramps, critical home repairs, and accessibility improvements.

As we continue this work throughout Monmouth County, we remain committed to making our programs and services accessible to residents in every part of the county. While the difficult decision to close our Freehold ReStore allowed us to better focus our resources, we continue to maintain a presence in western Monmouth County. We are now available every Tuesday at CARC’s offices in Freehold, making it easier for families, volunteers, donors and partners to connect with us.

As we enter our 37th year, we look ahead with hope. We have many new opportunities to expand affordable housing in Monmouth County, but none of them will happen without you. Every gift helps create pathways to affordable homeownership and enables veterans, older adults and local families to live safely and securely in their homes.
