Women Build 2025

A Typical Women Build Day

A typical Women Build day starts at 9 am and ends at 3 pm. A safety talk begins each day when all volunteers are present. Volunteers will work in groups on particular assignments and are expected to remain at the job site the entire day.

Volunteers are given Habitat t-shirts, safety goggles, work gloves, and a tool belt. We ask that you wear sturdy shoes/boots and work clothes that you do not mind getting dirty.

Lunch will be provided.

What is Women Build?

Women Build is a unique opportunity for women to work together to volunteer, build, and advocate for decent and affordable homes.  Join us and help raise funds for our housing programs.

Women Build 2025

This year, our Women Build program will run between May and October 2025. Please contact us if you would like to schedule a day for your team. We will be booking both corporate and individual women builders.

Individual Women Builders: We ask each individual (non-corporate) Women Builder to contribute $50 and to help maximize our fundraising through a personalized peer-to-peer fundraising page. We handle all the setup and provide support along the way, making it simple, fun, and effective. These pages can be shared with networks via social media or email, with a goal of raising an additional $150* to support our housing programs, and are a great way to increase awareness of the work we’re doing. The peer-to-peer fundraising is a good-faith effort by each volunteer, which helps to offset rising costs of housing materials and to get even more people involved in our mission.

To sign up for a Women Build Day, please contact Caroline Howell, Marketing & Event Coordinator, at chowell@monmouthhabitat.org / 732.795.2698 or Teri McIntire, Women Build Event Chair, at teri@interiorslite.com / 609.924.8185.

*Women builders will not be excluded from our build day if they do not raise the full amount.
