FAQs Freehold ReStore Closing

Frequently Asked Questions

If you have a question that is not answered below, please email us at info@monmouthhabitat.org.

After careful evaluation, we have made the difficult decision to close the Freehold ReStore in the Spring of 2026 due to ongoing economic challenges. Rising retail rental costs, reduced funding for nonprofits, and an increasingly difficult retail environment have made it unsustainable to continue at this location.

This decision was not easy but it allows us to focus our resources on what matters most – our affordable housing programs serving families and individuals throughout Monmouth County.

The Freehold ReStore will close in Spring 2026. We will share more information on specific dates and details about final donation and shopping days as we get closer to that time.

We are still working through the details of this transition. We will provide opportunities to stay involved with our Asbury Park ReStore and our affordable housing programs as best we can, and will share more information as soon as it is available.
